Repeal Day Celebration
In December 1933, the 21st Amendment to the Constitution was ratified, ending the prohibition of alcohol. Alcatraz East Crime Museum will celebrate the repeal of prohibition and the museum’s 6th anniversary this December. The celebration will give guests a unique look at a temporary exhibit on the topic.
Guests who attend in roaring 20s attire will receive a buy one, get one free admission.
The temporary exhibit on prohibition includes images, the history of the era, and artifacts. Unique items that will be featured are a 1921 hidden book flask, Al Capone’s Lexington Hotel Doorknobs, and a 1927 whiskey prescription. The exhibit will run from December 1, 2022, through February 1, 2023, and will be included with all general admission tickets.
The repeal day celebration event will take place from December 2-4, 2022, from 5 pm to close.
The event will include:
1. Prohibition trivia with prizes
2. Free shooting gallery
3. Free digital photo (must be wearing noticeable Roaring 20’s attire)
The event is included with a general ticket. The free image and discount are only available if you are dressed up in Roaring 20’s attire.
