4 Tips To Help Dodge Pigeon Forge Traffic

Visiting Pigeon Forge soon? Learn the best ways to travel around Pigeon Forge (while dodging traffic).

Know Before You Go

Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountains

Some events cause more traffic than others. Be sure to check out our Calendar of Events in the Pigeon Forge Travel Planner to find out which events will cause traffic delays. This will help you to avoid the main Parkway if you’re trying to get around the city quickly, but then again, if you can’t beat them, join them!

Mass Transit Trolley at Your Service

Pigeon Forge Fun Time Trolley

The Mass Transit Trolley is a convenient way to get around town. Services start in March and last through December, and an All-day Pass will only cost you $3 per person! All trolleys are equipped with lifts for wheelchairs and/or other mobility aids.

Take the Tram

Take the Pigeon Forge Tram

Did you know there is a tram that will take you from the LeConte Center to The Island? And the best part, it’s free! The tram picks up in the municipal parking lot and carries riders to both locations.

Go For a Walk

Greenway Trail in Pigeon Forge TN

Pigeon Forge is a pedestrian friendly city with several crosswalks up and down the Parkway to get you to and fro. Parking is always free at the municipal lot and it is conveniently located close to the Parkway. If you’re looking for a peaceful walk, you can take the Greenway trail all the way from Old Mill Square to The Island as you stroll along the river.

BONUS: Heading to Dollywood for the day? The Mass Transit Trolley does a direct route to Dollywood from the Trolley office located by Patriot Park. The trolley drops off and picks up right at the front gate, so you can save your energy for the park!
