Pigeon Forge is ready to show you a good time as well as create lasting memories for you and your family. Use this sample family weekend getaways itinerary to help get the most out of your long weekend break.
Check into your lodging. Pigeon Forge has many options that offer the convenience of a hotel and the amenities and coziness of a condo. You can find several options near the Parkway, near all of the attractions and fun. We also have cabins if you prefer something larger with more space. Many of our rooms offer beautiful views of The Smoky Mountains or the Little Pigeon River.
After you are settled in, take the family for some dinner at Blue Moose Burgers and Wings. It is Pigeon Forge’s only family sports grill. You will love their casual atmosphere and their delicious American menu.
When you are all finished, catch an evening show at The Comedy Barn. Sit back, relax, and do a little laughing as you conclude your first evening in Pigeon Forge!
Grab some breakfast at Sawyer’s Farmhouse. Their breakfast menu is hearty and filled with your favorites. It is a great way to fuel up for an adventurous day.
Afterwards, get your outdoor shoes on and enjoy some time in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Hike up to Laurel Falls or do some exploring in Cades Cove. Your family will make lots of memories while exploring and discovering the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
Continue on with an adventurous theme for the day and do some zorbing at Outdoor Gravity Park. The kids will love jumping into the gigantic ball and rolling down the 1000-foot hill.
When you are ready for a break, grab dinner at Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que. They have the best bar-b-que in the Smokies from pork and beef brisket to chicken and finger-licking good baby back ribs.
