The Pigeon Forge Greenway is a peaceful, tree-lined greenway trail that travels parallel to the Little Pigeon River and connects patrons to several popular areas of Pigeon Forge including: Dollywood, The Pigeon Forge Community Center, The Island in Pigeon Forge, The LeConte Event Center, and Patriot Park with access to various restaurants, attractions, and lodging along the way.
Enter the Riverwalk Trail at Patriot Park and hike, bike or run along the trail that takes you from Old Mill Avenue, past the LeConte Event Center, through the Island in Pigeon Forge, all the way to the Pigeon Forge Community Center. Or, you can simply relax and enjoy the scenery from one of the benches along the trail.
There is another walkway at Wear Farm City Park that includes more than a mile-long trail. One along Veterans Boulevard that begins at Goldrush Road, across from Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa, and travels just over a mile before connecting with the Sevierville Greenway. Families can enjoy more than six miles of walking trails in Pigeon Forge. It’s a great way to get a taste of the great outdoors without ever leaving town.
This Riverwalk trail is accessible for visitors using wheelchairs, mobility equipment, or strollers.
Greenway Trails & Rules:
- Greenway trails are open from sunrise to sunset.
- Motorized vehicles are not allowed on trails.
- Bikers are to travel at a safe speed (max. 15 MPH).
- Bikers always yield to pedestrians on the trails.
- Keep right and pass on the left.
- Politely announce yourself before passing on the greenway.
- Remove your pet’s waste.
- Keep pets on a short leash.
- The consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages on the greenway trails is prohibited.
- Report any suspicious incidents to 911.
Fishing Along The Little Pigeon River
Located entirely in Sevier County, Tennessee, the Little Pigeon River flows along the borders between Tennessee and North Carolina within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The West Prong runs through the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge.
Little Pigeon River is known for its trout fishing streams. Anglers come from far and wide to fish for wild rainbow trout and the native brook trout typically found further upstream. You’ll find numerous access points for fishing the river. From spots along the Riverwalk Greenway in Pigeon Forge to trails along the highway as you follow the river upstream within the boundaries of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
