Alcatraz East Crime Museum – Watergate Remembered

Start:
Aug 9
End:
Sep 30

This fall, Alcatraz East Crime Museum is taking a look back at one of the biggest political scandals in our nation’s history, the June 17, 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee Headquarters in Washington D.C.’s Watergate Complex.

In the two years following the break-in, a complex web of political schemes and corruption within President Richard Nixon’s Administration and his re-election campaign came to light. The Watergate Scandal eventually resulted in the indictment of over 40 government officials and the resignation of President Nixon.

Fifty years later, this exhibit looks back at the scandal, the investigation, and the ultimate downfall of America’s 37th President.

  • James McCord Trial Restraints
