While we’re working to help our neighbors in the aftermath, we’re receiving inquiries from potential visitors about conditions in Pigeon Forge. Our businesses are unaffected by the recent flooding from hurricane Helene and are welcoming visitors. Highway 441/Newfound Gap Road is open. All major roads, trails and facilities on the Tennessee side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are open to visitors. For the latest updates from the national park, please CLICK HERE.

Interstate 40 is OPEN at mile marker 407 in both directions. Exit 407 is the primary exit for Pigeon Forge from Interstate 40. All roads are open from Knoxville to Pigeon Forge.

Currently Tennessee road closures are as follows:

– Interstates I-81, I-75 and I-65 were not affected and are open for travel.

– Interstate 40 is closed in both directions from mile marker 440 in Tennessee (Cocke County) until mile marker 3 in North Carolina.  

– I-26 is closed in both directions from mile marker 39 in Erwin, Tennessee (Unicoi County) to the North Carolina line.

– Traffic heading from North Carolina into Tennessee should take I-77 North to Virginia then I-81 South to Tennessee.

For those visiting Pigeon Forge from areas impacted by current road closures, please click on the links below to view the best route from your city. We encourage all of our visitors to be mindful of their surroundings and to travel safely.

Hurricane Helene donation distribution centers have indicated they are nearing or at capacity for donated items. As a result, the Pigeon Forge Noon Rotary is no longer accepting physical donations. Instead, it encourages those who would like to contribute to the relief effort to donate monetarily in place of previously requested items.
