Wedding Checklist
Planning a wedding is always a busy and stressful affair even when you’re having it in your backyard. To help relieve the stress of brides that are doing their destination wedding planning with us, we compiled a checklist here to help keep things in order.
12 Months Before Wedding
- Create a wedding budget
- Decide on your wedding’s size/guest list
- Set a date and book venues/locations
- Hire wedding coordinator (if you plan to have one)
- Ask people to be in your wedding party
- Choose and book the officiant
- Create your wedding website
- Research group accommodation rates
- Update your website with information
- Look for bridal gown
- Begin researching and booking wedding vendors
- Photographers
- Videographers
- Florist
- Reception Band/DJ
9 Months Before Wedding
- Order wedding dress
- Send out Save the Date Cards
- Decide reception menu
- Decide on flower arrangements
- Make travel arrangements for wedding and honeymoon (if in a different location)
- Order bridesmaids dresses
- Create music playlist for ceremony and reception
6 Months Before Wedding
- Order wedding invitations
- Have Groom and groomsmen pick attire
- Register for gifts
- Pick out and order wedding rings
- Order wedding cake
- Arrange for wedding day transportation
3 Months Before Wedding
- Write your wedding vows
- Design wedding program
- Send wedding invitations
- Purchase gifts for wedding party members, parents and each other
- Make a list of what to pack
1 Month Before Wedding
- Have your final dress fitting
- Check in on bridesmaids’ dresses
- Discuss with photographer the pictures that are important to you
- Finalize music playlist with band/dj
2 Weeks Before Wedding
- Call guests who have not returned their RSVP
- Prepare reception seating chart
At Wedding Destination
- Meet with your wedding coordinator to go over last minute details, if you do not have a one, contact each vendor and confirm all arrangements
- Get marriage license
